Tom Yandeau

Tom Yandeau was born in Plumas, Manitoba on February 17, 1965. He began playing senior baseball in 1979 at the age of 14. He played for the Plumas Pirates of the Santa Clara League for the next 32 years, posting a record of 182 home runs in 1480 games, and a career .440 batting average. Yandeau played for Manitoba at the Western Canada Championships in 1995, ’96, and ’97. He coached minor ball for many years, beginning in 1995. Yandeau’s involvement in baseball within his community led him to receive the 2007 Manitoba Baseball Association Volunteer of the Year award, and in 2012 he was named Plumas’ Mr. Baseball by the Santa Clara League.
