Grant Everard

Grant Everard was born in Wawanesa, Manitoba on August 21, 1949. Everard was an outstanding pitcher for Riverside. In 20 years in the Manitoba Senior Baseball League (MSBL), he won 107 games and lost just 47. Everard was named to the first all star team 11 times and second all-star team six times. He was MVP of the league in 1973 and 1981. He was top pitcher of the league in 1981 and ’82, and playoff MVP in 1973. Everard was part of five teams that won a Manitoba title. He was also selected to the MSBL 40 year all time pitching staff. Everard was also part of teams that won the Canadian junior crown (1967), the Canadian senior title (1972), and he was on Team Canada for the World Amateurs tournament in Cuba.
