Andy Boehm

Boehm was born in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba on October 23, 1960. Boehm played two years of baseball at Des Moines Area Community College in Boone, Iowa, and two more years on the NCAA Division 1 Georgia Southern National Youth team in 1979. Boehm then went on to play senior ball for 22 years with Dauphin, Neepawa, Brandon Marlins, Baldur Regals, Brandon Cloverleafs, St. Boniface, Carman, and Portage. 16 seasons in the Manitoba Senior Baseball League (MSBL) saw his stats at a .301 batting average, 7 scored home runs, and a pitching win-loss record of 37-21, with 356 strikeouts in 507 innings pitched. Boehm was on six MSBL all star teams, he was MSBL rookie of the year, recipient of the 1994 MSBL Top Pitcher Award, 1999 MSBL playoff MVP with the Brandon Marlins, 1999 Player of the Year, and 1985 Western Canada Senior Men’s Baseball Championship MVP. In 2008 he went on be the assistant coach with Team Manitoba 18 & under. Boehm was also Associate Scout with the San Diego Padres, previously with the Atlanta Braves. In 2009, he was head coach of Team Manitoba in the Canada Games.
