Mark Fisher

Mark Fisher was born in Nesbitt, Manitoba. Fisher was a pitcher and outfielder with the Riverside Canucks. In the Manitoba Senior Baseball league (MSBL), Fisher was named to the first all-star team 15 times, and the second all-star team twice. He was league batting champion in 1974 and 1979 with over a .500 average, and then was league batting champion again in 1981. Fisher was also league MVP in 1971 and ’74. Fisher was on Riverside teams that won six MSBL titles and five Manitoba titles. He was also on teams that won three national junior titles (one with Brandon, two with Sarnia). Fisher played class A pro ball with Detroit’s team in Lakeland, Florida in 1970 and was named to the MSBL 40 year all star team as an outfielder.
