Lorne Caldwell

Lorne Caldwell was born in Hamiota, Manitoba on July 24, 1997. He played in the 30s, 40s, and 50s, and he was an all around great player. Caldwell hit well, pitched, and played second base despite the fact that he could only throw underhanded because of a shoulder injury. After his playing days were over, Caldwell went on to manage and coach the Hamiota Red Sox from 1961-71, winning five pennants and three league titles in the Manitoba Senior Baseball League.
