John Hindle

John Hindle was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on September 20, 1952. Hindle played for a multitude of teams, including the Norberry Community Club , the St. Boniface Legionnaires Juniors (1969-73), the Grandview Lakers (1975-77), the St. Boniface Native Sons (1978-85), and in the Redboine Senior Baseball League. He went on to coach for the Norbury Broncos from 1969-70, who were western Canadian finalists in Settler, Alberta his first year there. From 1986-73 Hindle coached the Grendall Community Club. From 1985-88 he was a Bonivital Baseball Association executive, and in 1982 he was the president of the Redboine Senior Baseball League. Hindle continued to build the sport of baseball in 2002 as a director of the Manitoba Baseball Association and in 2003 as the president of the Manitoba Junior Baseball League. He also founded the business “Home Run Sports Sporting Goods”, and he introduced blastball to Manitoba. From 1994-2001, Hindle was the general manager of the Winnipeg Goldeyes, and saw increased attendance every year. He also took a lead role in bringing the majorly successful 2001 Northern League all-star game to Winnipeg.
