Alex Campbell

Alex Campbell was born in Brandon, Manitoba on June 17, 1947. Campbell played minor baseball in Strathclair, Manitoba and coached in the Brandon Minor Baseball Association for 15 years. He represented Brandon and Manitoba five times in AAA championship tournaments, including from 1980-82 in the Little League Western Canadians, in the 1983 Pee Wee AAA, 1985 Bantam AAA, and the 1986 Midget AAA. Campbell also served on the Brandon Minor Baseball Executive Committee for 15 years, including 3 years as president, and was considered a major contributor to bringing the World Youth Baseball Championship to Brandon in 1991 and 1994. He also received a Manitoba Baseball Association Honour Society Award in 1998, Volunteer of the Year in 1991, Sport Manitoba Volunteer Services Award in 2009, and was later Chairperson of the Andrews Field Management Group.
