Myles Bond was born in Grosse Isle, Manitoba on February 5, 1964. Over the course of his career, Bond played on championship teams at every level from bantam to senior, took ten trips to Westerns or Nationals from 1978-1993, and won silver with his team at the Canada Summer Games in 1985. Amazingly, Bond pitched a no-hitter at a Western Canadian final in 1988 for his Grosse Isle team. He was also Redboine League Pitcher of the Year and playoff MVP in 1992. In 1993, Bond won the Winnipeg Intermediate League All-Star Right-Handed Pitcher Award. Later, In 1985, he played with the St. Boniface Legionnaires in a Manitoba Junior Baseball League all-star game, and was named to team Manitoba for the Canada games in St John, New Brunswick. Bond also won the Winnipeg Senior AA League Crown in 1993 with the Grosse Isle Blue Jays. Once, in 1986, Bond took a trip to Australia to play winter baseball in the Brisbane League. Bond has previously been inducted into the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame with three teams, including the St. Boniface Legionnaires, St. Boniface Native Sons, and the Grosse Isle Blue Jays.
