Ken Pringle was born in Boissevain, Manitoba on March 1, 1965. Pringle began playing for the Boissevain Centennials when he was 17. By the time he turned 24, he was leading the team as player-manager and off-field organizer. Pringle guided his team to six Southwest Baseball League titles between 1990 and 1996, as well as three Manitoba Senior AA crowns. He won League MVP in 1994 and 1995. Following his time with the Centennials, Pringle coached minor ball from 2008-2014. In 2013, he was inducted into the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame as part of his Boissevain Centennials team.
