Ed Mazur was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on July 25, 1929. Mazur was a great left-handed pitcher who excelled with the juvenile Rosedale team, the St. Boniface Native Sons, Fort Whyte, and in Tribune all-star games. Mazur also played with the Dauphin Redbirds in 1950, and in the Northern League with Neepawa, Roblin, Grandview, and Gilbert Plains. Mazur was previously inducted into the Manitoba Sports Hall of Fame and the Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame.
