Dick Limke was born in Minot, North Dakota on October 12, 1942. Limke was an outstanding pitcher with the Souris Cardinals throughout the 1960s, though he also played on a number of other teams. In the 1960s, he was named the league’s top pitcher four times, and the league MVP four times as well. He was also on the all-star team five consecutive seasons from 1965-69. Limke pitched a career 591 strike outs, giving up 292 hits and 153 walks in 508 innings pitched. He even pitched the first playoff no-hitter game in MSBL history.
