Chris Riddell was born in Warren, Manitoba on December 4, 1937. Riddell was a strong left-handed pitcher throughout his career. He played minor ball in Warren before attending a tryout with the New York Giants in 1956. Unfortunately he didn’t quite make the cut, so he instead signed with Muskogee, Oklahoma in the State League. He went on to play in Michigan City in the Mid-West League, and then in the Northern League with St. Cloud, Minnesota. Riddell finished his career with the Regina Braves of the Western Canada League and the Winnipeg Goldeyes. In 1959, he returned to farm in Warren, where he pitched many years of league and tournament baseball.
