Bob Kinley was best known for his “all out hustle, anything to win attitude”, he was versatile and excellent at all aspects of the game. Bob was selected to eight consecutive all star teams from 1974 to 1981 with the River East Juniors, Legion 141 Seniors and the Elmwood Giants Seniors. Playing shortstop and outfield, he helped the River East Raiders win on Juvenile and one Junior Provincial Championship. Bob was the 1975 Junior League Batting Champion and he played first base on the 1978 Eastman all star team that won the Western Canadian Championship. Kinley helped organize the Elmwood Giant Seniors in 1979, he played and coached with them until 1996.The Giants appeared in 11 finals, won 1 Provincial Championship, and represented the Province in the Western Canadians four times winning two silver medals. Kinley was on the 1979 and 1980 Redboine all stars, representing the province and again won two silver medals. Bob was previously inducted into the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame as a coach with the 1978-80 Elmwood Juniors.
