Lynn Caldwell was an excellent player who was chosen as M.S.B.L. third baseman on the 40 year all star team, voted M.S.B.L. first all star team nine times, and second all star team three times. Caldwell’s batting average in 13 seasons was .285 and he led M.S.B.L. in RBI’s for three consecutive years. Caldwell played with the Oil Dome all stars at Davenport, Iowa Pony Championships (1957), Hamiota won M.S.B.L. pennant in 61, 62, 64, 65, 67 and league championship in 62, 63, 64.
