Gord Leduchowski was born in Riverton, Manitoba on March 18, 1950. Leduchowski played with a plethora of teams over his prestigious career, including Chatfield, Teulon, the Balmoral Orioles, the Fort Rouge Mallards, Warren, the Transcona Mallards, the South End Chiefs, the Teulon Whips, the Binscarth Orioles, the Teulon Cardinals, the Elmwood Giants, and the Carman Goldeyes. Leduchowski also attended Mayville State College from 1970-74, where he was voted an outstanding graduating player. Leduchowski was with the Western Canada Senior B gold medalists at Watrous, Saskatchewan in 1975, Western Canada Senior B silver medalists at Glenboro in 1976, he was on the Manitoba Senior Baseball League championship team of 1977, the Redboine league championship team of 1980, and he was a member of Team Canada in Nicaragua in 1977. Over the course of his career, Leduchowski took part in 11 senior national championships, spent 20 years coaching the Teulon Cards, coached the Interlake Orioles to silver at the Western Canada Bantam Games in Teulon (1988), and coached the 1990-91 Team Canada who won World Youth gold medals over Chinese Taipei. Leduchowski also coached Team Manitoba in 1993, ’94, ’95, and ’97, had his level 3 coaching certificate, organized the 400 Hitter Baseball School, and was playing coach of the Chatfield Oldtimers.
