Cam Hurst played for the Deer Lodge Community Club, Arborg, Isaac Brock Royals, Transcona Atomics, Team Canada, and Team Manitoba. Cam had several well developed skills – throwing, running, hitting for power. The Cincinnati Reds and the New York Yankees were very interested in Cam, especially after he won back to back Junior Championships with Isaac Brock. Transcona also won several provincial titles throughout the 1960’s. Cam’s career highlights were playing left field for Canada in 1967 Pan Am Games and for Team Manitoba at first Canada Summer Games in Halifax in 1969. Cam then moved to a career in the outdoors – managing Arctic Fishing Lodges, outdoor writing and guiding.
