Terry Lynd was a great outfielder for seventeen seasons in MSBL with McAuley Blazers (1973 – 1983, 1989) and Moosomin Generals (1984 – 1988). He was a Super defensive outfielder, good base runner, very strong hitter. He had batting averages of .421 in 1981, .417 in 1983 and .468 in 1986. His 1986 batting average won the league batting title, and has a lifetime batting average of .333. Lynd was chosen as a first team all star 11 times and a second team all star 3 times in his career. He represented Manitoba seven times at Western Canadian or Canadian championships. He hit a three run homer in the top of the ninth to give Manitoba an 11-9 win and bronze medal at the 1976 Nationals in Fredericton. In the 1985 Nationals in Kentville, Nova Scotia, he won the tournament batting title and again was part of a bronze medal team.
