Born in 1917, he played in the 1930s, 40s, and 50s, a good hitter who pitched and played second base despite the fact he could throw only underhand because of a shoulder injury. Managed and coached Hamiota Red Sox, 1961-1971, winning 5 pennants and 3 league titles in the M.S.B.L.
