From 1946-48 in HS track Ken set 5 Winnipeg and 6 Manitoba records in the 100 and 200 yard sprints.Won championships while playing for the Rosedale s (Juvenile 1946,and Juniors 1949and1950. Was named as an all-star in 1951 and 1953 while playing for the senior St Boniface Native Sons
