Alex Campbell played minor baseball at Strathclair and coached in Brandon Minor Baseball Association for 15 years. He represented Brandon & Manitoba five times; from 1980-82 in the Little League Western Canadians, in the 1983 Pee Wee AAA, the 1985 Bantam AAA, and the 1986 Midget AAA. Campbell served on the Brandon Minor Baseball Executive for 15 years (3 as President) and was considered a major individual to bring to the World Youth Baseball Championships in Brandon in 1991 & 1994, also the Canadian Youth Championship in 1989. Canada won gold medal in 1991. He received an MBA Honour Society Award (1998), Volunteer of the Year (1991), Sport Manitoba Volunteer Services Award (2009) and is Chairperson of Andrews Field Management Group.
